Product Description
This is a really nice pan and a nice addition to your kitchen!

But we would use it for a serving platter or utility piece. It’s too nice to cut a pizza on–even if that is what the manufacturer intended. It’s heavy gauge, stainless steel, with a mirror-like surface. It’s a beautiful pan, and if you don’t mind scratching it with your pizza wheel, it will certainly heat a pizza.

I love my pan, but it is definately not non-stick. You do need to lightly oil it, or use parchment paper, but is durable, functional, beautiful, and does not have that nasty non-stick coating that’s so bad for you. My asthmatic son does not do well with non-stick being used in the house at all – it gives off fumes, let alone what peels off into your food. Stainless Steel or glass is much safer and healthier.

It’s dishwasher safe, but if you get a lot of food stuck on it, just soak it first. If it gets a little baked on oil, or other stain, just clean it off gently with a little baking soda and water on a sponge or paper towel.

  • My wife and I had been looking for a stainless steel pizza pan for a long time locally and wherever we went. We don’t live in a large city, so we were a bit limited. We could only find the kind of non-stick and plated steel pans that are everywhere. I especially wanted one that was heavy enough, not thin like so many things these days. This pan hit the nail on the head, it is made of a good heavy stainless. As to appearance, it is a work of the polishing art, but that is both good and bad. I’m afraid to lend it out or take any food to a pot luck on it for fear someone will scratch it right away. In fact we bake on it, then transfer the pizza to another el cheapo pan or to a cutting board to do the slicing. But I do love the pan and highly recommend it to anyone who likes nice cooking utensils.
